Bio

I was born in Chicago, IL and raised by my parents Victoria Quade and Charles White. I have two siblings: Michael and Catherine. I attended Saint Clement School from K-8 and then Saint Ignatius High School, where I began to develop my interest in mathematics by participating in the math team. I next attended Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and studied abroad in the Budapest Semester in Mathematics program before starting my graduate career at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. There I studied mathematics and computer science concurrently, completing my computer science masters degree in 2012 (under the supervision of Danny Krizanc), and my PhD in mathematics in 2014 (under the supervision of Mark Hovey). I began as an Assistant Professor at Denison in the fall of 2014, and was tenured and promoted to Associate Professor in 2020.

Athlete/Coach

I used to be a semi-professional beach volleyball player, but have stopped playing competitively in recent years. I have since taken up hiking, running, swimming, and acroyoga. I continue to coach volleyball in my free time. I have been an assistant coach for the Bowdoin and Wesleyan NCAA women's teams, and as a head coach for the Bowdoin and Wesleyan club volleyball teams. If you need any drills you can email me.
