Setting up your Windows XP firewall

Procedure

Open the Control Panel

Click on Network and Internet Connections

Click on Network Connections

Click on the connection you want to protect under the "LAN or High-Speed Internet" heading (see fig.1)

Click on Change settings of this computer (or right-click connection and choose Properties)

Click on Advanced tab (see fig.2)

Click to check the "Protect my computer ... " checkbox (see fig.3)

Click OK
