Results of the 1997 Denison Spring Programming Contest

This year, 16 teams from 7 schools (Denison, Ohio Wesleyan, Ashland, Baldwin-Wallace, Marietta, Albion and Heidleberg) competed in this 4-hour contest. This is the largest contest yet. The problem set was apparently more difficult this year than in recent years, with the only the top three teams solving more than one problem. Problems 1, 3 and 5 were the most solved problems.

A team from Ashland (Behm, Bonfiglio, Dorn and Olivieri) edged a Baldwin-Wallace team (Booth, Klimek and Smit) by a mere 12 points for the victory.

The final standings (top 5 teams):

  1. Ashland University A
  2. Baldwin-Wallace A
  3. Denison A
  4. Ohio Wesleyan A
  5. Ashland University B

Congratulations to all the students who participated.
