Appy does the tourist thing
Usually I use my vacation time to do reseach on crayfish. I am currently working on the crayfishes of the Cumberland/Pine Mountain region. The last two years of doing this, however, the trips resulted in disasters. So this year I decided to take a break. I planned a two week trip of nothing but tourist activities. First we went to Washington DC, then drove down the east coast to Huntington Beach, South Carolina and from there to Disney World in Florida. I haven't seen the ocean in over 15 years and neither of my girls had ever seen it. I told the girls that we were going to DC and the ocean, but I didn't tell them of Disney World. I literally snuck them down there. I had intended to try and sneak them into Florida, but eagle eye Chelsey saw the sign as we crossed the state line. "What are we doing in Florida????" Chelsey said in amazement. I just smiled. About ten minutes later, Chelsey asked, "Are we going to Disney World???" I replied, "Yep!" Well the look of happiness on their faces was wonderful!
