Requirements of the course include several quizzes, two papers, two hourly examinations, and a final examination. The quizzes will be announced in advance, the papers will be short essays on the collateral readings and will not require library research, the hourly examinations will be essays on the concepts developed in the lectures and readings, and the final examination will be comprehensive over the entire course
