Hausaufgabe (37%): Homework is graded on the accuracy, neatness, punctuality, and thoroughness of the work.  Hand in all assignments with your name and Slayter Box at the top. Typed papers are preferable, but neat printing and writing are also acceptable.  Half credit for late assignments.

 

Schreibübungen (4%): These writing exercises take place in the computer lab, Fellows 201.

 

Filme (12%): Instructions for the films will be handed out well in advance of the due date.

 

Vocabulary Quizzes (7%): Page numbers of vocabulary lists appear in the syllabus.  All quizzes are based on a ten-point scale. 

 

Prüfungen (25%): Hourly exams focus on the culture and grammar of the chapter.

 

Final (15%): The final is comprehensive but will also function as the hourly examination for chapter 12.

 

 

Handing assignments in late and missing class are two silly and unnecessary ways to lose points.  For the latter one point will be subtracted from your final grade for every class you miss. I do not allow the electronic submission of assignments, unless circumstances otherwise warrant it.
