The principles and competencies of hermeneutics that will be developed in this course will not only serve as a helpful introduction to the humanities at Denison, it will find all kinds of applications in life and career (conflict negotiation, institutional culture, interpersonal relationships, legal studies, civic activism, , diplomacy,  performance studies, etc.).  Students will find new ways to extend and apply hermeneutic understanding to daily life over the course of the semester.
