Time Saved By Speeding

Ever wonder exactly how much time is saved by speeding to your destination?
I did a little figuring and the results may surprise you.

Time saved every 10 miles by going:
65 instead of 55 .027972 1:41

Using Chart #1 we get the time savings for Chart #2

So is it worth the cost of the ticket and drastically increasing your chances of crashing just to go 75mph instead of 65mph and save 1:14 every 10 miles? Seems sort of futile doesn't it?

Explanation
Here's the logic behind the data.
Start with the formula d = r * t
   (where d = distance (in miles); r = rate (in mph); and t = time (in hrs)

Example:
I decided to start with an easy number; 10 miles.
How to figure the amount of time it takes to go 10 miles at 55 mph:
   (using the formula t = d / r)
10 / 55 = .1818182 hrs
To convert to minutes, multiply the answer by 60.
   .181818 * 60 = 10.909 mins
To convert to seconds, multiply everything to the right of the decimal point by 60  
   .909 * 60 = 55 secs
So the answer to how long does it take to go 10 miles at 55 mph? 10:55
