Research Interests:

I am interested in synthesizing and studying new materials that can be used for low-cost solar energy conversion devices. My research relies on simple and low-cost methods to make electrodes from new forms of iron oxide with architecture on the nanometer scale, and characterizing both their physical and photoelectro-chemical properties.

Teaching:

  1. BulletAtoms and Molecules: Structure and Dynamics (Chem 131)

  2. BulletStructure and Reactivity of Organic Molecules (Chem 132)

  3. BulletIntermediate Analytical Chemistry (Chem 331)

  4. BulletChemistry and Materials of Sustainable Energy (Chem 428)

Personal Interests:

I love the outdoors. Some of my favorite activities are rock climbing, camping and hiking, backpacking, surfing, and snowboarding. And since I don't always get a chance to do all those things all the time, I'm pretty happy taking care of my garden, going for a walk in the woods, or just going to the park with my family.
